Welcome to the 2018 "Road to the Little Mo Nationals"!

Thank you for your interest in the 21st Annual “Road to the Little Mo Nationals”. We are looking forward to seeing you on the courts this year!

The “Road to the Little Mo Nationals” is the only yearlong circuit of its kind for talented, high performance boys and girls (ages 8-12) who reside in the USA and USA Territories. The Road is designed to provide good competition at the sectional, regional, and national level while also encouraging players to develop new friendships, learn good sportsmanship, and most of all, have fun. The “Little Mo” is also unique in that it gives youngsters the opportunity to gauge their ability against players who share the same birth year (i.e., 8’s play 8’s, 9’s play 9’s, et cetera). Many famous tennis professionals have participated in the “Little Mo” program over the years including Andy Roddick, Ryan Harrison, Vasek Pospisil, Madison Keys, Donald Young, Denis Kudla, CiCi Bellis, Taylor Fritz, and Ana Konjuh.

The circuit begins each spring with 18 different sectionals held across the country, which advance to four regionals held in the summer, and culminates with the prestigious “Little Mo” Nationals held in the fall. Yellow ball divisions are offered for boys and girls ages 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 in addition to a green dot option for ages 8, 9, and 10 at the sectional level. The top eight players (quarterfinalists) from each age division at each sectional advance to the four "Little Mo" Regionals. Please note the top 8 players from the yellow ball and green dot divisions will advance to the “Little Mo” Regionals, but all green dot players will need to play with the yellow ball at the Regionals as there will be no green dot divisions. The top four players (semifinalists) from each age division at each regional advance to the "Little Mo" Nationals held at the Austin Tennis Academy in Austin, Texas from September 28 - October 1. The top 160 players who advance to the “Little Mo” Nationals are the youngest and brightest future stars in American tennis.

In addition to the “Little Mo” Sectionals, we hope you will join us for the "Little Mo" Internationals as you will get to see many styles of play from all over the world. We have three international tournaments annually, which are open to any player worldwide. The events are held at the Newport Beach Tennis Club in Newport Beach, California (July 4-8), the historic West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills, New York (August 20-25), and the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida (November 30-December 5). Singles, doubles, and mixed doubles are offered for ages 8-14 (California and Florida) in addition to an exciting opening ceremony, player parade, clinic, player party, and other fun activities! For more information and instructions on how to register, please visit the MCB website at www.mcbtennis.org.

The "Little Mo" tournaments are hosted by the Maureen Connolly Brinker Tennis Foundation (MCB) in memory of its tennis champion namesake Maureen "Little Mo" Connolly. Known by her nickname “Little Mo”, she was the first woman to win the Grand Slam in 1953 – winning all four major tournaments (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and U.S. Open) in the same year. She is still the only American woman and the youngest at age 18 to have accomplished this magnificent feat. MCB has promoted junior tennis development for over 49 years and continues to benefit countless numbers of boys and girls throughout the United States and worldwide. This year, the Foundation will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary and we are so happy to celebrate this special occasion with you.

We thank you for your support of the “Little Mo” and a special thank you to our proud sponsors: Tennis Competitors of Dallas (TCD), K-Swiss (Official Footwear), Wilson Sporting Goods (Official Racquet and Ball), and My Game Solutions (Official Player Matching and Court Booking App). Last year, approximately 3,000 youngsters competed in the “Little Mo” and we hope to see even more youngsters play this wonderful “sport of a lifetime” this year. Thanks so much for helping us spread the word to all of your friends about our tournaments. Play “Mo” Tennis!
